BC Hydro is a government owned electric utility company serving 1.8 million customers across British Columbia.
During major storms when many customers can be left without power, traffic to their site spikes. BC Hydro needed a new website to handle these surges that would also be user friendly, mobile optimized, and easy for non-technical staff to update.
Our work was recognized as a top 5 project within the organization as we exceeded expectations while delivering on time & budget.
Enabled the site to handle incremental spikes in traffic, ensuring customers can get up-to-date and timely power outage information.
Developed a mobile-friendly site that provides customers with more self-service tools while promoting energy-savings programs.
Reduced the number of wireframes and templates, making it easier for staff to operate and customers to navigate.
